Kitchen Rental

Hours of Operation: Mon-Sun 8:00am-6:30pm

Requirements:

  • $200 refundable security deposit

  • General Liability Insurance

The Foodie
$200/month. $20/hour

10 hrs+/month plan. Hours over 10 are billed at $20/hr.

*Early Bird Discount off this tier only! 10% off June-August*

The Maker

$450/month. $18/hour

25 hrs+/month plan. Additional hours at $18/hr.

The Producer

$640/month. $16/hour

40 hrs+/month plan. Our lowest rate. Additional hours at $16/hr.
 

  • Full or half-day rental of kitchen may be available upon request. Priority is given to monthly subscribers. One-time usage is available starting at $25/hour

  • $5 additional utility fee for dehydrator use (up to 14 hours - additional fees apply after 14 hours).

  • $10 additional utility fee for freeze drier use (up to 36 hours - additional fees apply after 36 hours).

  • Kohala Food Hub Certified Kitchen is a cold kitchen only. No open sautéing or activities producing “grease-laden vapors” are allowed.

Kohala Food Hub Certified Kitchen usage is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, we do not accept walk-ins. If you would like to tour the facilities, please complete the inquiry form or contact us to make an appointment. Mahalo!

HI Dept of Health Permit Information:

  • Special Event Permits – for farmers markets, catering, and other direct-to-consumer sales. Inspections not required, each permit is per location.

  • Food Establishment Permits – for all other Food Establishments, including food manufacturing, retail, wholesale, food trucks, restaurants, etc. Inspection required. 

  • If you are making value-added products and want to sell them in grocery stores or at Hawaiʻi Farm-to-Car market, you need a Food Establishment Permit.
